Kaylie + Evan | Maroni Meadows Wedding
December 31st I received an inquiry from someone named Kaylee who told me she had gone to high school with my husband and has been following my work for years and that she had just gotten engaged and she was ready to book me as their wedding photographer. To say it was a wonderful way to end my 2016 year is a MAJOR understatement! I was so honored and her enthusiasm about my work filled my heart in such a way only other artists will understand. As if I didn’t feel good about this wedding already, when we met for their engagement session we just clicked. We spend the evening laughing and joking like old friends and their love for one another made the evening feel like anything but work.
Fast forward to their wedding day and all those good feels I just mentioned, ya times that by a thousand. The day was filled with so much love and excitement for their union. Kaylie and Evan chose to share private vows during their first look and I’mnot ashamed to say I ugly cried behind my camera. I have not witnessed such powerful, intimate, vulnerable, romantic, and thoughtful vows in all my years of photography and I’ve seen some pretty amazing moments so that’s saying a lot. I am still elated that I had the opportunity to witness this moment and capture it for them to look back on forever.
As if that wasn’t powerful enough, the rest of the day was full of hugs, kisses, tears, and cheers. These two have some pretty amazing people rooting for them and their marriage! They ate, drank, karaoke’d, and danced and I think it’s pretty safe to say had the time of their lives!
Kaylie and Evan I am so honored to have been the one to capture the day you committed the rest of your lives to each other! Congratulations!
